Happy Birthday To “Arrow” Star Stephen Amell

His name is Stephen Amell. 34 years ago today, he was born. And fans of the CW series Arrow couldn’t be more happier.

Amell was born in Toronto, Canada. Before landing the lead as the Emerald Archer, he landed roles in Queer as Folk (2000), Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001), 1-800-Missing (2003) and Tilt (2005). His first breakout role was as a werewolf in the CW Hit series, The Vampire Diaries(2009). His work didn’t go unnoticed, because he would then be chosen to star as Oliver Queen, the masked vigilante of Starling City in Arrow (2012).

Next year, Amell will trade Starling City for New York City. He will also bring another comic book character to life, playing Casey Jones in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.

So, Happy Birthday, Stephen Amell! We here at DC Comics News would like to give you a 34 arrow salute, but we don’t want anyone to get hurt…those arrows are sharp!

Catch Stephen Amell and the rest of his team on Arrow, Wednesdays at 8/7 Central on The CW.
