Director Glen Winter tweeted earlier today that filming of the pilot episode of CBS’ Supergirl has officially wrapped.
Executive producers Greg Berlanti (also a creator and producer for The CW’s Arrow and The Flash) and Ali Adler wrote the pilot for Supergirl.
The pilot stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers, Mehcad Brooks as James “Jimmy” Olsen, Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant, David Harewood as Hank Henshaw, Chyler Leigh as Alexandra “Alex” Danvers, Laura Benanti as Alura Zor-El, Jeremy Jordan as Winslow “Winn” Schott, Faran Tahir as The Commander and Owain Yeoman as Vartox. Helen Slater and Dean Cain will also appear, but their roles remain to be known.
Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was destined to be.
