New Justice League Animated Miniseries

It was announced today that Machinima has greenlit the new animated miniseries “Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles,” created by the producers of the famed animated show, “Batman: The Animated Series,” Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett. The online series will be based on “Justice League: Gods & Monsters,” a DC animated film executive produced by Timm and co-produced by Burnett that will be released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment later in 2015. “Chronicles” will focus on alternate versions of the DC Trinity: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

In the coming series, the main heroes of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are reportedly going to be much darker versions of the characters that people think that they know. Thus being a new venture out into a different realm than has been explored by various DC series over the years.

Chad Gutstein, Machinma’s CEO had this to say:

Ever since we announced the Warner Bros. strategic investment, we have been looking for a new and exciting way to tap into the company’s unmatched content. With “Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles,” Machinima will be the very first place fans can experience a new vision for DC Comics’ beloved Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman characters. In addition, we have built a first-of-its-kind package for brands to engage with these characters to reach Machinima’s elusive audience,

“Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles” will be the very first production from the newly formed digital content production unit at Warner Bros. Sam Register, the President of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series had the following to say:
