Well, folks we have the beginnings of our Rogues.
During the Television Critics Association press tour earlier today, producers on the CW’s upcoming Arrow companion series, The Flash, announced who had been cast in the role of the mostly-villain Leonard Snart, a.k.a Captain Cold, leader of the Rogues and nemesis of the Flash.
Wentworth Miller of Prison Break fame will be donning the shades and hefting the freeze gun against the World’s fastest man starting in the fourth episode.
“We’ll be seeing his origin and the origin of the Rogues,” promises The Flash executive producer Greg Berlanti.
This news finds me personally very excited. I love the Rogues second only to Batman’s pantheon of villians. They and the Flash have such an interesting relationship and you often at times can’t help yourself but to root for them. We’ll see how much of this relationship gets adapted into the show, but right now, I’m extremely pleased with this bit of casting news. What do you guys think of the new Captain Cold?
