CW Picks Up ‘The Flash’

The Flash tv show, CW, Grant GustinThe Scarlet Speedster will make his way to the CW this fall. Deadline reports that the show starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen has been picked up by the CW. Alongside ‘The Flash’ another DC property, ‘iZombie’ has been picked up and will premiere on the CW as well.

The CW’s ordering of ‘The Flash’ comes as no shock as there were reports, long before the series was picked up, of execs. praising the pilot.

This particular incarnation of The Flash first appeared on ‘Arrow’.

of these crimes, Barry feels that they could lead him find out who, or what, is responsible for the death of his mother.

In his second, and final, episode ‘Three Ghosts’, he is called back into the Foundry (base of operations) to help save Oliver after he’s poisoned by Cyrus Gold. He grows closer to Felicity, but by the end of the episode he’s back in his hometown of Central City. There, an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs, a lightning storm, and an assortment of chemicals, give him his ‘super speed’ abilities.

Barry Allen is a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. A comic book fanboy, Barry is obsessed with the Arrow unaware that working with Oliver and Felicity to solve the crime has brought him right into the dangerous world of the vigilante.
