Gotham Vs. Metropolis Football Jerseys from Batman Vs. Superman Revealed

Maybe it seems like the DC Comics film universe is obsessed with Gotham City football, as one of The Dark Knight Rises signature set pieces takes place on the Gotham Rogues football field. And now, director Zack Snyder is set to shoot another big game, this time with Gotham City University going up against Metropolis State University in Batman Vs. Superman.

Don’t expect a big explosion this time out, though. The scene will likely be included in an opening montage that brings the two famous DC Universe cities together in an economical story telling way.

Filming is set to take place this Saturday, October 19, at East Los Angeles College’s Weingart Stadium. The Batman Vs. Superman will be on the field during halftime, when ELAC takes on Victor Valley College. Shooting is only expected to last 20 minutes, and none of the principle actors, including Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck or Amy Adams, will be present.

Batman News got there hands on these exclusive photos of the Gotham City University and Metropolis State University jerseys, which the football actors will be wearing on the field. As a bonus treat, Zack Snyder has designed a memorial T-shirt for the first 2,000 fans who sit in the shooting section of the stadium.

Listen to you hounds! Already rooting for GCU to win!
