Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters star Alexandra Daddario has expressed interest in playing Wonder Woman on screen. The actress said that she would “love” Warner Bros to finally bring the DC Comics heroine to cinemas, and would be up for the lead role if the project was greenlit.
“Whether I’m in a Wonder Woman movie or not, I would love to be. I would love to see Wonder Woman get made. I would love to see this strong, female action hero,“
she told Collider. Wonder Woman, who has previously appeared on the small screen, is expected to make her cinematic debut in the upcoming Justice League movie.
There have been several attempts to reintroduce the character to television, including The CW’s recently-shelved Amazon. DC Entertainment head Diane Nelson has said that Wonder Woman is one of the company’s ‘top three priorities’.
