MATTEL: MOS Movie Masters & MOS 5 Pack

Target released a figure that spoils the reveal of a character in the Man of Steel. Click the jump to see more.

A few days ago,  Mattel has released the first wave of collector-aimed Man of Steel: Movie Masters image stills of the product to MTV Superman-Movie-Master-Close-UpGeek. The figure comes with the lightweight figure stand. The stand is molded in red plastic, with a light yellow paint used to recreate the classic symbol. The figure features a ball-joint neck, swivel/hinge shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waist, swivel/hinge hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees, and hinged ankles. All of the joints on the figure work well and hold their position tightly.

The sculpt for this line comes from The Four Horsemen. Superman was given a basic, stoic expression and looks about as close to Henry Cavill as can be hoped in a 6″ scale. The Man of Steel: Movie Masters is very similar to The Dark Knight Trilogy figures, which were awesome! See image stills of this figure below.

More news on Mattel, a few days ago Target revealed the Man of Steel 5 pack in one of their stores. The 5 pack reveals Zod, Superman, Jor’El, and a giant figure that appears to look like Namek. Who is Namek? The spelling of the name is Nam-Ek. Nam-Ek appeared in Superman #282 back in 1974.   He did some bad stuff, turned into a purple beast and was sent into the Phantom Zone. This character also appeare on Smallville as a servant to Zod. So, we’ll probably see this character standing next to Zod in Man of Steel.  However, this  has not been confirmed by anyone, but the toys show it all. See the figures below.
